Resumen:
Clinical nutrition has become a fundamental, cross-disciplinary therapeutic tool in the management of numerous digestive diseases. However, despite its recognized importance, training in this area during medical school and residency remains limited. This gap contrasts with the growing scientific evidence supporting the impact of nutritional support on disease progression, treatment outcomes, and the prevention of complications in patients with digestive disorders. The Spanish Society of Digestive Diseases (SEPD) developed and distributed a survey among its members to assess their perceptions and level of involvement in the nutritional management of digestive diseases.
